Ariza – Ali Riza Altay is a taxi driver who lives with his family in a district of Istanbul that has not lost its neighborhood culture. He lives with his sister Nihan and mother Rukiye in their two-storey wooden house left by his late father. With the early death of his father, Mehmet Emin Bey, Ali Riza said goodbye to his university dream and took on the family’s livelihood. He has a “fraction” of the little fights he gets into when he has to, but he never wanted to be one of the armed bullies. What he cares about is the slogan of Thamets: “There are two things to fight for: our home, our honor”. With this slogan, Ali Riza looked after his family as his eyes, and now he is preparing to marry his beloved sister Nihan to his dear friend Ferit. But these days, the events that started when Ariza opposed those who wanted to force a vulnerable customer (Halide) out of his taxi, It shatters Ariza’s small and ordinary world. Thus, Ariza embarks on his compulsory journey from being an ordinary taxi driver to the throne of Istanbul’s biggest crime kingdom. From now on, he will be referred to as “FAILURE”, not Ali Riza.
